Eligibility Criteria for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027

Age Limit

Applicants must be born between 1 January 2006 and 1 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit at the time of enrolment, after clearing all stages, should not exceed 21 years.

Marital Status

Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible. Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period.

Educational Qualification

For Science Subjects: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English. A three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, or Information Technology) with similar marks is also accepted.

For Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates who passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English are eligible.

Height and Physical Standards

The minimum acceptable height is 152 cm for both male and female candidates. Female candidates from North East states or hilly regions of Uttarakhand get a relaxation to 147 cm, while candidates from Lakshadweep require a minimum of 150 cm.

Domicile Categories

Candidates must select one domicile category at the time of registration:

  • Permanent Domicile – based on state/UT domicile certificate

  • PFT-II: Push-ups, sit-ups, and squats within specified time limits
